This project is close to Lugano, Switzerland. Lugano has an important geographical location in Switzerland. It is not only the economic centre, but also the only way from Italy to reach Switzerland. This project chose the site of the bridges between Melide and Bissone, which played an important role in the historical stage. But the project found that the space under the bridge was not well used and became an abandoned space.

The aim of the project is to develop our concept of “fast, slow and stop” in the bridge of Bissone-Melide. We want to express the concept and resolve the problems of this infrastructure, which have paramount importance not only for the regional mobility but also for the Italy-Swiss context.

This project hopes that by the end of the design, the bridge can be used well by the target people, which is the surrounding residents and tourists. This is the origin of our title which in order to indicate that this bridge could be a surface leading to an unlimited place.
